Quality control (QC) for enriched and graded celestite ore involves multiple stages to ensure the material meets specifications before being shipped to customers. Here’s an overview of the QC process using SGS or other trusted companies (Société Générale de Surveillance) services:
Our Quality Control Procedure
Before Loading into Containers (Initial Inspection)
- Sampling Process:
- Random Sampling: SGS or other trusted companies take representative samples from stockpiles or conveyor belts.
- Standard Sampling Methods: Compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO or ASTM) for accurate sample representation.
- Laboratory Analysis:
- Purity Analysis: Determines the percentage of SrSO₄ (celestite) to ensure it meets the grade (e.g., 90% or above).
- Impurity Testing: Analyzes for SiO₂, BaO, Fe₂O₃, and other impurities.
- Moisture Content: Ensures the material is dry enough to prevent contamination during transport.
- Certification:
- SGS or other trusted companies provide a Certificate of Analysis (CoA), confirming the composition and quality of the celestite.
- The CoA is shared with both the seller and buyer.
- Container Inspection:
- SGS or other trusted companies spects the containers for cleanliness, structural integrity, and suitability for transporting celestite ore.
- Weight Verification:
- Conducted using certified weighbridges to ensure accurate tonnage.
After Arrival at Destination (Continuous Monitoring)
- Unloading Supervision:
- SGS or other trusted companies supervise the unloading process to ensure the material is handled correctly and matches the shipping documents.
- Resampling and Analysis:
- Representative Sampling: SGS or other trusted companies re-sample the delivered ore to verify consistency with the pre-shipment CoA.
- Lab Testing: Analysis includes purity, impurity levels, and physical properties such as particle size distribution.
- Weight Confirmation:
- A final weight check ensures no discrepancies in the shipped quantity.
- Discrepancy Management:
- If differences are found between pre-shipment and post-delivery analyses, SGS mediates to resolve disputes between seller and buyer.
- Final Certification:
- SGS or other trusted companies issue a Destination CoA, verifying the quality and quantity of the delivered material.
